Erik Dutilly, PhD.


M.Ed. and PhD. in Education Research from the University of Colorado Boulder, Erik specializes in program evaluation,  Latino issues in education, pre-collegiate programs, and STEM undergraduate research. He is passionate about connecting youth to the outdoors. He is the founder and president of Western-Eval. His dissertation topic was on student recruitment and selection into undergraduate research and internship programs. 

Michael Turner, PhD.


With over 15 years of consulting and higher education experience, Michael specializes in program management, data analytics, and evaluation using quantitative data.  He has both a Masters in Engineering and a Ph.D. in statistics, research design, and evaluation.  His approach to evaluation focuses on including a wide range of perspectives while maintaining the validity of conclusions from numerical data. He has previously worked on evaluations for Denver Public Schools, University of Colorado Boulder, The University of Colorado System, South Florida Community College, and other confidential clients.  He has given multiple talks on the appropriate approaches to difficult quantitative analysis problems at various American Evaluation Association conferences including the use of hierarchical linear modeling techniques and the use of multinomial logistic regression.
